Request: hi can you write a really really sad one about austin or vic or alan? where y/n one morning leaves him bc she can’t deal with the city they’re in. (too many bad memories and stuff) and he is fighting for her to stay. “I remember the day you told me you were leaving. I remember the makeup running down your face. And the dreams you left behind you didn’t need them”
I wrote it with Austin ‘cause like he has the best sad gifs.. OH and btw the gifs I use are not mine. Just thought I’d give some clarification, I wouldn’t want people to think I’m stealing their gifs cause I’m not. I get like all of them from Google..so yeaaaaaah.
You stared out of the window from your bedroom, a depressed expression on your face. All these memories from the past were invading your head. You felt like screaming, but only tears fell. This city was filled with too many bad experiences, and you knew the only way to forget was to leave.. And that’s what you intended on doing.
"Hey, babe- Babe?" Austin entered the room and saw you trying to wipe away your tears. "Y/n, what’s wrong baby?" He walked over and pulled you into his arms.
"I don’t want to be here.." you sobbed.
"W-What? What do you mean you don’t want to be here?" His voice was filled with surprise and worry.
"I don’t want to be in this city.. It’s all too much, it’s too much."
Austin squeezed you tighter against him. “I know baby, I know. I’m so sorry.. I promise, as soon as we have the money, we’ll move away okay? Anywhere you want, I promise,” he held you by the face and looked you in the eye so you knew he meant what he said.
The sound of tears hitting the floor was the only thing audible for you two to hear.
*the next morning*
Austin laid on his side of the bed, sound asleep. You however, were grabbing all of your clothes from your closet and tossing them into a large luggage. You grabbed as much of your necessities as you could and piled them in.
You were trying to be as quiet as possible so you wouldn’t wake Austin. There was a note saying goodbye on your side of the bed, waiting to be read when he would wake up later.
Tears were spilling from your eyes as you tried to quietly zip up the suitcase.
"Y/n?" You heard Austin’s groggy morning voice coming from the bed.
"Shit.." you whispered as you tried to wipe away the tears.
"Babe, what are you doing?" Austin asked as he sat up and rubbed his eyes.
You didn’t say a word as you pulled on the handle of your luggage and hurried out of the bedroom. As soon as Austin realized what was happening, he jumped out of bed and ran to catch up to you.
"Babe wait! Don’t leave, please don’t leave!" he cried as he grabbed for your shoulder.
"I’m sorry, Austin.." you whimpered. "I have to go.. It’s not your fault."
"No, baby, no," his voice cracked as he wrapped his arms around you from behind.
You brought your hand up to your mouth, muffling your sobs.
"Austin, let go," your voice was just as shaky.
"No!" he cried.
"Austin, let go!" you screamed, as you tried to break his hold.
"Don’t leave me.. Baby, I need you.. I need you, please don’t leave me!" He cried as he rested his head against yours.
His grasp loosened a bit as he cried harder, you took advantage of this opportunity and broke free from his hold. Gripping the handle from your suitcase, you hurried for the door. Austin’s head snapped up and he hurried to the door. He got there faster than you could and stepped in between you and the handle.
"Y/n, I love you! Please!" He exclaimed. "Please, babe.. Just stay, just stay with me.." he pleaded as he grabbed the suitcase from your hand.
You took a big gulp of air as you stared up at the ceiling. Tears were still welling up in your eyes. Biting your bottom lip, you looked back at Austin, your cheeks damp.
"I’m so sorry, Austin.. But I need to go. You don’t understa-"
"What is there to not understand?" he cut you off with his shaky voice. "I’m trying so hard to help you and keep you here with me, and make it all okay, but it’s like you’re not listening to a single word I’m saying.. You’re the one that doesn’t understand.. Why can’t you see how hard I’m trying?"
His words struck you hard..but not hard enough.
"No..Austin I-" you struggled to say what was on your mind. "I’ve already made up my mind.. I’m sorr-"
"Don’t say you’re sorry.. Because you’re not.. What about me, y/n? What am I supposed to do when you’re gone? Move on? No! I refuse! You’re the love of my life and you’re leaving me.. Why?!" he cried as the tears escalated.
You couldn’t handle it any longer. You needed to get out of the house right away.
"Step away from the door, Austin." you tried to be calm.
He stared long and hard into your eyes. “So this how it’s gonna end huh? 2 years down the drain, just like that? You’re throwing everything we ever had away, you know that right?”
You stayed silent.
"You know that, right?" he repeated himself.
You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to keep what composure you had left. “Austin. Step away from the door.”
Austin’s face went from tear stained and heart broken to just plain emotionless. His eyes looked dead and dull. After what felt like forever, he stepped to the side. You kept your head down as you opened the door.
"Don’t say I didn’t try." he whispered as you brushed past him and stepped outside."
You paused for a moment taking in what he said. Then you made your way over to your car and got inside.
As you tossed your luggage to the backseat and started the car, Austin stepped out onto the porch and watched as you prepared to leave. What happened next was unexpected.
"I remember the day you told me you were leaving!" Austin began to sing at the top of his lungs. "I remember the makeup running down your face!" You covered your mouth with one hand to stifle the sob that was trying to escape your mouth. "And the dreams you left behind you didn’t need them!"
You rested your head against the steering wheel as your body shook with despair. It wasn’t supposed to end like this..
Finally just letting all of the tears fall, you back out of the driveway and pulled out onto the street. You started driving down the street, starting to pass the house. Looking in your rear view mirror, you saw Austin fall to his knees on the lawn and hold his head in his hands.
Was this really what you wanted?
